About SE22 Performance
SE22 Performance was officially born 3/4/2013 by founder and head calibrator, Erik Boisen. However, the journey leading up to this point has been spread over many years.
In late 2005, Erik was frustrated with the lack of options for increasing the performance of his 2002 Chevrolet TrailBlazer 4.2L I6. Fortunately in March 2006, Erik became one of the early beta tester's for EFILive using his "P10" PCM. This event would spark the passion for developing custom tunes for all GM vehicles (and now other platforms).
In 2008, Erik began selling his "P10" PCM tunes to the general public around the greater Northwestern U.S. (Washington, Oregon, Idaho) including Vancouver, BC (Canada). With happy local customers, the vision to open his own tuning business was born.
In March 2009, Erik took ownership of his 2008 Chevrolet TrailBlazer SS. Of course this was followed by data logging and a wideband oxygen sensor installation with the intent of tuning it. The "Gen IV" engine controllers changed how the ECM calculates the volumetric efficiency, but it just became another challenge to tackle and improve on. Erik also attended EFI University's EFI 101 class in May 2009 to further enhance his tuning skills and abilities.
With 2013, a new set of challenges of working with the even newer ECMs and the beginning of SE22 Performance as a business. February saw the purchase of another tuning suite which enabled the tuning of certain Ford Mustang and F-150 vehicles plus additional GM gas vehicle support. Erik attended StarLite Diesel's tuning class on March 9-10 to learn more about the GM Duramax and Dodge Cummins turbo-diesel engines.
In June 2013, Erik purchased a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS 1.4L turbo I4. Tuning is in progress!
